Redesign your existing furniture

Introducing a new package for folks who want to reimagine their existing furnishings via Re-design. ✨ What is Redesign you might ask? I like to call it magic on a dime! This is where I take your existing furnishings, and give you my best recommendation for a whole new room layout. In other words, instantly gain a whole new look to your space, without buying a thing. Similar to E-design, this is a remote service, so no matter where you are located, you can receive a digital space-plan to implement on your own time-frame.

Sometimes it takes a fresh set of eyes to see things in a whole new way. If one of my design packages is a seven course meal, re-design is a delicious burger from your favorite drive-thru. Consider it the In-and-Out -your-house, design-burger. Fresh, filling and fast. Did I mention juicy?

Before we proceed, it’s important to distinguish how how Re-design is different from E-design:

  1. It’s not actually a design, per sé. Unlike my design packages, where we collaborate on an overall style-direction with mood-boards - depicting an entirely new vision for the room, with paint colors, finishes, hardware and a mix of old and new furnishings - Re-design is ONLY using your existing furnishings. This is not limited to furniture but can include other items like lighting, art and decor.

  2. It’s a lot quicker. You can expect your new space-plan in as little as one week.

  3. It does NOT include the Q&A communication between client and designer that is involved with executing a room that includes new selections. Re-design is quick and easy. Perfect for someone who is busy and on a budget! You hand over the necessary details to get started, and the next time you hear from me will be when you receive your fresh, new, sparkling space-plan!

Love your furniture but just don’t have an eye for where to put it? Re-design is for you!

Here’s how it works:

I just need two things from you in order to complete your new space-plan!

  1. A site survey of the room (I’ll make this super easy, promise).

  2. Measurements and a brief description of each item to be considered (or shopping link, if available). . For example, wood hutch 64 T x 48 W x 14 D”. Photos are not necessary as I am really just thinking about proportions and a room’s flow when working on a space-plan (if you wish to have a room design that takes colors, patterns and styles into consideration, I recommend my E-design service). This is also where you will tell me if there are any specific requirements for an item’s location (for example, a preferred wall for your TV).

Oh, one more thing…

To best utilize this package, you’ll want to provide a little more than what will actually be included in the room. This gives me a “furniture pool” to select what works best, and what might be better served elsewhere. You can include up to 18 pieces to be considered for one room and I will place 12 from this selection. Better yet, re-designing a few rooms at once will allow me to borrow pieces from other rooms you may not have considered for a space. If you do not have more items than what you want to fit into the room, that’s okay, too!

I promise, seeing your old furniture in a fresh new light will feel like waking up on Christmas morning!

What makes my services different from do-it-yourself, online software or AI generated planners?

Well, if you actually like working with a human being, that is the biggest difference! When you work with me on a space-plan, you have the assurance of being able to communicate your needs with a real designer who understands the ways rooms need to function (especially for families!). When you hire a professional, you will not have any confusing software to figure out and there will be no second-guessing that you have the very best space-plan for your room. You will also have laid a good foundation should you need to add other items to your room in the future!

FAQ

  1. What about other furnishings, like decor and lighting, can that be included in the Re-design?

Yep! I will place up to 12 items in your room including art, lighting, a shadowbox of Grandma’s undies (ha! got ya) and anything else you want included.

  2. How many items should I provide for a room?

You can include up to 18 items for consideration. I will select 12 that best fit the space from this selection.

  3. What if there are items I definitely want included?

You can let me know your must-have list when you provide your site survey and measurements.

  4. What if the space feels unfinished when you are done. Can you make recommendations for other items that could “fill out” the room?

Yes, in this case, I may direct you to my á la cart menu to purchase individual, specifically sourced items.

  5. How long does it take to receive my new space-plan?

You will receive it via email in as little as one week!

  6. How much does it cost?

You can find pricing for Re-design as well as all my other services here

  7. How do I get started?

To get started, simply send me an email! I will then answer any questions you may have, walk you through the site survey instructions and send over an invoice for payment. If I am working with another client, I will notify you of my waitlist at that time.

  8. What if I have a very large room, can more than 12 items be placed?

Yes! I would simply charge you for an additional 12 items, giving you a total of 24 to place in a larger room.

  9. What if I have less than 12 items, or 12 items will not fit in my room? Can the price be reduced? Could some items that don’t fit be moved to another room at no extra charge?

Sorry, but there can be no adjustments to the pricing for my packages. Pricing is per room so items cannot be placed by me in other rooms. You may want to consider my Á La Cart menu for smaller projects.

  10. Are there any revisions allowed to the space-plan

Unlike my E-design service, this package does not include revisions. You will receive my best recommendation based on your room and furnishings.

  11. Do you physically place the furniture for me?

No, this is a remote, online service. You will only receive digital files from me.
